What Alpha Capital sells
Five plans: Alpha One (1-step), Alpha Pro (2-step, in 6%, 8% and 10% variants), Alpha Swing (2-step), Alpha Direct and Alpha Three. Sizes run "from $5,000 to $200,000"; the FAQ says from $2.5K. Fees "start from $27"; per-size prices, including $100k, sit only in the checkout widget and were not readable.
The objectives, as published
| Model | Targets | Daily loss | Max loss and type | Min days | Time limit | Consistency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alpha Pro 6% | 6% then 6% | 3%, from highest end-of-day balance or equity | 6%, static | 3 per phase | none | none stated |
| Alpha Pro 8% | 8% then 5% | 4%, balance-based | 8%, static | 3 per phase | none | none stated |
| Alpha Pro 10% | 10% then 5% | 5%, balance-based | 10%, static | 3 per phase | none | none stated |
| Alpha Swing | 10% then 5% | 5% | 10% | 3 per phase | none | none stated |
| Alpha One | 6%, 10% or 12% | 3% in evaluation | 4%, 6% or 8%, trailing on high-water mark | 1 | not stated | none stated |
The Pro help article states that "The limit is fixed from the starting balance", which is what static means here. On-demand payouts carry a 40% Best Day rule, a consistency test on that route even where the plan has none.
The copying rule
The help centre allows "Copy trading between two Alpha Capital Group accounts, or using an Alpha Capital Group account as a Master", and says a trader "may use accounts from other proprietary firms or brokers as a Master" with proof of ownership; MT5 only, since copying is not possible on cTrader, DX Trade or TradeLocker. Then the limit: "copy trading from other groups, or duplicating trades from fellow traders, is strictly prohibited". A separate article, on passing with someone else's signals, states: "Trading based on signals is considered group trading, which is prohibited".
That sentence goes further than any other firm here. A Telegram-to-MT5 copier is out, as everywhere. Whether a trader who reads a channel and places their own trade is "trading based on signals" is not spelled out, and the plain reading of the words is that it is. A signal follower should treat manual signal trading as prohibited here and not buy an Alpha evaluation for it. EAs are MT5 only, "risk management and trade assistance tools", pre-approved. Our copier and prop firm rules piece sets out why our own copier terms exclude prop accounts.
News, on evaluation and on funded
In evaluation "you can trade freely during all news releases". On the Qualified account for Pro, One, Three and Direct there is a "10-minute window (5 minutes on either side of the news): NO trades to be executed". Swing is the exception: "Trading during major news events is allowed", provided a trade opened within 2 minutes either side lasts longer than 2 minutes.
For a gold signal through US data, Pro Qualified means ten minutes hands off, with the open trade left to its stop and targets. Swing lets you manage it, which is why our comparison lists Alpha Swing among the funded accounts that stay free around the calendar. Weekend holding follows the same split: "not allowed" on Pro Qualified, allowed at all stages on Swing, One and Three. The releases are in our sessions and news guide.
Drawdown and daily loss, in stops
At 1% a trade, the Pro 10% gives five stops a day and ten in total from a fixed floor; the Pro 8% four and eight; the Pro 6% three and six, with the daily measured from the highest end-of-day balance or equity. Alpha One's 3% daily is three stops, and its 4% to 8% maximum trails the high-water mark. Swing has the Pro 10% numbers.
Gold, platforms and leverage
Platforms are MetaTrader 5, cTrader ("not accepting new U.S. customers"), DX Trade and TradeLocker. Leverage on Pro is 1:100 FX, 1:30 metals, 1:20 indices and 1:10 oil; Swing is 1:30; One is up to 1:30 on FX. XAU/USD is listed among the symbols. A total open-lot cap runs from 2.5 lots on $5k to 40 on $100k and 120 on $300k, half of that on Swing; at 1% risk a trade those caps sit far above anything a gold position needs.
Payouts, split and refund
The standard split is 80%, with 90% as an add-on at "+10% on the On-Demand price". The cycle is chosen at purchase: Bi-Weekly, first request "starting 14 days after your initial trade", then every 14 days, with a $100 gross minimum; or On-Demand, with the 40% Best Day rule and 2% minimum profit. The return policy reads "All sales are final and no refund will be issued"; no fee refund on passing is stated. Instead there is "a discretionary bonus of 0.25% of the initial account size" on the fourth performance fee.
Broker, entity, countries
Alpha names its broker, "ACG Markets", "an FSA-regulated brokerage", without stating which FSA. The entity is ALPHA CAPITAL GROUP LIMITED, company 13719951, Harpenden, England. Not selectable at checkout: Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen and others. The country page calls the US "fully available"; the checkout asks buyers to confirm they are "not a US resident or citizen".
What Alpha Capital does not publish
Prices outside the widget, the regulator behind "FSA-regulated", a time limit on Alpha One, and a definition of "trading based on signals" that separates copying from reading. The last is worth a support ticket before you buy.
Who it suits, from the rules alone
A trader who wants static drawdown, stated metals leverage and a named broker, and who either trades Swing through news or sits out ten minutes on Pro. It suits less anyone who wanted a refund on passing, and anyone whose trading the firm would describe as based on signals. How the other nine firms word the clause is in our prop firm rules roundup.
