Blue Guardian review for signal traders: rules, news, copying

Blue Guardian publishes its gold leverage by model and stage, which few firms do, and it adds a rule none of the other nine have: Guardian Shield, which closes trades on a funded account at a set floating loss. This review reads the 2 Step Standard, 1 Step Standard and Instant accounts from blueguardian.com and its help centre on 21 Oct 2026.

What Blue Guardian sells

Instant (Standard and Starter), 1 Step (Standard and Nano), 2 Step (Standard and Nano), legacy Pro and 3 Step, and buy-now-pay-later, in sizes from 5K to 400K. The forex page shows two price columns not labelled by plan: the 100K row reads "$467.00 / challenge" with "$623.00" alongside, and the checkout block beside it is labelled Instant 100K. Other rows run from $54 / $72 at 5K to $1,650 / $2,200 at 400K. Which figure is the 2 Step is not stated.

The daily limit resets at 5pm EST "based on the higher of balance or equity at reset". The 2 Step's static 8% means equity on $100K must not fall below $92,000. The 1 Step's trailing limit locks at the start once 6% in profit, with a 1% buffer.

The copying rule

There is no built-in copier. Third-party trade copiers are "allowed only between accounts you legally own, not copying other traders". The prohibited practices page bars VPN or VPS use to bypass "copy, group, or signal trading rules" and states that "hedging between separate accounts is strictly prohibited". EAs are allowed for your own strategies; the terms bar "any third-party strategy".

A Telegram-to-MT5 copier fed by a channel is copying another trader and is out. Placing a signal by hand on your own account is not addressed by the cited rules either way, and the phrase "signal trading rules" shows the firm has the pattern in mind; absence of a named ban is not permission, so get the firm's written answer to your exact workflow first. Our guide to signals on a funded account has the wording to use. We do not connect our copier to prop accounts.

News, on evaluation and on funded

News trading is "Allowed during challenges". On funded accounts, no trade may be opened or closed 5 minutes before or after a high-impact (red folder) or FOMC event, and profits from such trades may be removed. The home page shows "News Trading: No", the funded rule stated bluntly.

For a gold signal through US data, that is ten minutes a release with no entries, stop moves or closes; the running trade stays open on its own stop and targets. Weekend holding has "no restrictions". The red-folder releases are on our sessions and news guide.

Guardian Shield, and the drawdown in stops

Guardian Shield exists only on funded accounts and matters more to a signal follower than the news rule. The firm auto-closes open trades at a 2% floating loss (1% on instant); the first trigger cuts the split to 50%, the second breaches the account. At 1% risk a single signal should never reach the floor, but two gold signals both near their stops is 2% of floating loss, and the page does not say whether the figure is per trade or per account. Ask before you hold two.

On the ordinary limits, 1% a trade on the 2 Step Standard gives four stops a day and eight in total from a fixed floor. The 1 Step gives four a day and six in total, trailing from the best closed balance. Instant gives three a day and six trailing, plus a 20% consistency rule that one strong gold day can breach. Size from the daily limit, not the account.

Gold, platforms and leverage

Platforms are MetaTrader 5, Match Trader and TradeLocker; US clients get "Match Trader and TradeLocker only". Leverage is stated by stage: 1 Step and 3 Step evaluation, forex 1:50 and gold 1:20; 2 Step Nano and Standard, forex 1:50 and gold 1:10; funded 1 Step and 2 Step Standard, forex 1:50 and gold 1:10; Instant, forex 1:30 and gold 1:10. A maximum lot size is not stated. Gold at 1:10 on a small account leaves little room for a second position.

Payouts, split and refund

A funded account becomes eligible once the minimum trading days are met and "A minimum of 14 calendar days has passed since the first trade", then every 14 days, or 7 with an add-on. The split is 85% by default and 90% as an add-on on the 2 Step and 1 Step Standard; Instant Standard is 80%. Requests are processed "Within 24 business hours". The refund policy is plain: "no refunds under any circumstances will be accepted" and "All sales are final". No fee refund on passing is stated.

Broker, entity, countries

Blue Guardian "is not a broker" and does not name its brokers. The entities are Iconic Exchange FZCO, trading as Blue Guardian, Dubai; Blue Guardian Limited, Saint Lucia, for the simulated platforms; Blue Guardian Marketing LLC, Dubai; and Odeonpay ALE S.R.L. (Paysagi) as merchant of record. Governing law is the UAE. No excluded-country list appears on the pages we read.

What Blue Guardian does not publish

Which price column is the 2 Step, a time limit, a maximum lot size, the brokers, a country list, and whether Guardian Shield measures floating loss per trade or per account.

Who it suits, from the rules alone

A manual signal trader who holds one gold position at a time, keeps it at 1% or less, and can leave it alone for ten minutes around red-folder releases fits the 2 Step Standard. It suits less anyone who runs several signals at once, needs more than 1:10 on gold, or wanted a fee refund. The other nine are in our prop firm rules roundup.

Rules were read on 21 Oct 2026 and change often.
