Eightcap review for signal traders: accounts, gold, MT4 and MT5

Eightcap is a broker many Telegram signal services send their members to, so we read its published terms the way a signal follower would: which company you contract with, what the two accounts cost on EUR/USD and gold, whether gold runs on MT4 and MT5, and what the pages do not say. Every figure below is Eightcap's own, read on 21 Oct 2026.

Who you are actually signing with

Eightcap's legal pages list seven companies under one brand. Six carry a regulator: Eightcap Pty Ltd in Australia (ASIC, AFSL 391441), Eightcap Group Ltd in the UK (FCA, FRN 921296), Eightcap EU Ltd in Cyprus (CySEC, licence 246/14), Eightcap Global Limited in The Bahamas (Securities Commission of The Bahamas, SIA-F220), Eightcap International Ltd in Seychelles (FSA, SD100) and Eightcap International Trading in Mauritius (FSC, GB25204603). The seventh, CLMarkets Limited, trading as Eightcap International, is incorporated in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines under number 24750 IBC 2018, with no regulator named.

The pages do not state which entity serves which country. The legal page says the site "is not targeted at the general public of any specific country", and the Australian, UK and EU paths served us the international footer naming the Bahamas, Seychelles and Mauritius companies, so the regulated retail terms were not readable. Eightcap does not publish whether it accepts US residents and states no negative balance protection on any page we read. Get in writing which of the seven companies your account sits under before you deposit; the gap between an FCA client and an unregulated SVG client is the whole question.

The accounts, as published

International site, 21 Oct 2026:

AccountMinimum depositSpread fromCommissionPlatforms named
Standard$1001.0 pips$0MT4, MT5, TradingView, TradeLocker
Raw$1000.0 pips$3.50 a side per standard lot in USD, AUD, NZD, SGD and CAD accounts; GBP 2.25; EUR 2.75MT4, MT5, TradingView, TradeLocker

Both can be held in AUD, CAD, EUR, GBP, NZD, SGD or USD. The EUR/USD page prints the Raw commission as $7 a lot round turn, and the arithmetic is the same at every broker: EUR/USD moves $10 a pip per standard lot, so $7 is 0.7 pips. Raw lists a 0 pip minimum and Standard a 1 pip minimum, which leaves 0.3 pips of room for Raw's live spread before the two cost the same. These are minimums, not typical spreads; a demo of each side by side is the only way to know.

The XAUUSD page prints a minimum spread of 1.2 pips on Standard and 1.2 pips on Raw, and "No Commission" on both. If that holds live, Raw costs nothing extra on gold and less on forex, so a signal follower who trades both would open Raw. Our guide to sizing a position from a signal turns the per-lot cost into money at your lot size.

Gold, MT4 and MT5

The XAUUSD page lists MT5, MT4, TradingView and TradeLocker, so gold is on both MetaTrader versions. Contract size is 100, lot step and minimum are 0.01, the maximum is 30 lots, and hours are 01:01 to 23:59 at GMT+3. The symbol is printed as plain XAUUSD. TradeLocker and TradingView are for manual traders: our copier places signals on MT4 and MT5, so a member who wants trades copied opens one of those.

Leverage is stated once, as "up to 1:500" for the Bahamas entity, which the gold and EUR/USD pages label "SYC regulated" while the legal page names the Bahamas regulator; ask which is right. No leverage is published for the ASIC, FCA or CySEC companies.

On a demo, check what the pages cannot tell you: the exact symbol name on your server, since suffixes exist even where a website prints XAUUSD; the spread between 22:00 and 01:00 UK time; and the swap. Our piece on why gold spreads widen at night explains why that hour matters more than the 1.2 headline.

Swap-free

Eightcap's FAQ lists the question "Do you offer Islamic (swap-free) accounts and are there any fees?", but the answer did not render for us, and no other page states whether swap-free exists or what replaces the swap. Ask before opening if you hold gold overnight.

Funding and withdrawals

The payments page states "no internal fees". Cards ($100 to $50,000) and PayPal ($100 to $10,000) are instant in and one to five business days out. Skrill and Neteller take $100 to $50,000 in and pay out within one business day between $50 and $50,000. Crypto is instant both ways with a $50 minimum withdrawal. Wires run one to five business days each way with a $50 minimum out. Regional methods such as Interac, PIX and UnionPay carry their own limits. Third-party fees are not stated.

Copy trading

Eightcap describes no copy trading product on its platforms or home page; the "social trading access" in its TradingView description is a TradingView feature. Following a Telegram channel with a copier is a different thing: the channel posts entry, stop and targets, and the copier places them on your own MT4 or MT5 account at your own lot size, Eightcap's servers included.

What Eightcap does not publish

Which entity serves which region; leverage for the ASIC, FCA and CySEC companies; US residents; negative balance protection; swap-free terms; the year it was founded (the home page offers "8 global offices" and "140+ countries" instead); typical spreads; third-party fees. None are red flags. They are gaps, and a demo plus one support ticket close them.

Who Eightcap suits, from the terms alone

  • A trader who wants Raw pricing at $7 round turn, a $100 start and gold at 0.01 lots on MT4 or MT5.
  • A member who charts on TradingView or TradeLocker and wants the same broker behind MetaTrader.
  • Anyone who can confirm in writing that their account sits under the ASIC, FCA or CySEC company.

Who it suits less: anyone who needs regulator, leverage and negative balance terms printed before signing, since the site prints them for one of seven companies; and anyone in the US, whom the pages do not mention.
