What FundedNext sells
Four CFD models under the Stellar name, 2-Step, 1-Step, Lite and Instant, plus a Labs plan labelled FNL:002, on MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader and Match-Trader. The help centre prices the Stellar 2-Step from $59.99 for $6,000 to $549.99 for $100,000 and $999.99 for $200,000; the product page agrees on $549.99 for $100K but shows $1,099.99 for $200K. Stellar 1-Step is $569.99 for $100,000.
The objectives, as published
| Model | Targets | Daily loss | Max loss and type | Min days | Time limit | Consistency |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stellar 2-Step | 8% then 5% | 5% of initial balance | 10%, static (not below 90% of initial) | 5 per phase, none funded | none | none |
| Stellar 1-Step | 10% | 3% | 6% (not below 94% of initial) | 2 | none | none stated |
| Stellar Lite | 8% then 4% | not stated | not stated | not stated | not stated | not stated |
| Stellar Instant | none | no daily loss limit | not stated | not stated | not stated | not stated |
Minimum days on the 2-Step are "5 separate calendar days" with at least one trade each. One rule outside the table matters more for a signal follower: a maximum risk of 3% at any time on the funded account. Three gold signals open at 1% each is the ceiling.
The copying rule
The help centre states that "copy trading is allowed between FundedNext Challenge Accounts, under specific guidelines": same owner, combined capital under $300,000, one master. Then the limits. "Traders are not permitted to copy trades between accounts owned by different individuals." Cloud copiers, with Social Trader Tools, Traders Connect and Duplikum named, are banned; only a VPS-based copier between your own Challenge accounts is allowed. On the funded account copying is "Prohibited for any FundedNext Account". Signal services are not addressed.
A Telegram-to-MT5 copier fed by a channel fails twice: the source is another person, and the funded account allows no copying at all. Trading by hand on a signal provider's calls is also covered: FundedNext's restricted-strategies page lists "Copy Trading Services" or "Signal Services" as strictly prohibited, with a permanent ban as the stated consequence, alongside account management by "external traders, trading groups, or automated services". A signal follower should take that at face value and not buy a FundedNext evaluation to trade signals on. Our piece on copiers and prop firm rules sets out where the line falls; our own copier terms exclude prop and challenge accounts.
News, on evaluation and on funded
News trading is allowed on all accounts and the Challenge phases "are not subject to this rule". On funded Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step and Lite accounts, a trade within "5 minutes before and 5 minutes after" a high-impact event on a correlated symbol has its profit counted at 40% toward the balance; losses stay with the trader in full.
For a gold signal running through US data this is the most permissive structure in our set apart from Goat's. Nothing stops you entering, closing or moving a stop inside the window; the cost is that a take-profit hit in those ten minutes pays 40 cents on the dollar. Whether a trade opened an hour earlier and still open through the release is caught depends on how "within" is read, and the article does not define it. Weekend and overnight holding is allowed on Challenge and funded accounts with "no restrictions in place".
Drawdown and daily loss, in stops
At 1% a trade, the 2-Step's 5% daily limit is five stops in a day and the static 10% maximum is ten from the start, with the floor fixed at 90% of the initial balance whatever you earn. The 1-Step is tighter: three stops a day and six in total. Add the 3% open risk cap and the practical rule on a funded 2-Step is three signals open at once, each at 1%, which our risk per trade guide turns into lot sizes.
Gold, platforms and leverage
XAUUSD is referenced as tradable in the help centre's swap example. Leverage figures are embedded as images and were not readable, so we cannot give a gold figure. There is "no fixed maximum lot size". EAs are allowed below $50,000 "as long as their settings are aligned with your account's parameters" and "Not permitted on $50,000 and above"; switching between EA and manual between phases is prohibited. FundedNext is one of two firms here still offering MT4.
Payouts, split and refund
On the Stellar 2-Step the first reward cycle "lasts 21 days from activation, then 14-day cycles". Splits depend on the route: 80% on the 21-day cycle, 60% on the 3-profitable-day reward, 90% on demand or after Scale-Up, and a "Lifetime Reward 95%" add-on. On-demand requests need at least 2% growth and a best day no more than 40% of total profit. Settlement is "within 24 hours of approval". The 2-Step fee comes back "as a Refundable Fee, requested with the first Performance Reward"; on the 1-Step, for accounts from 12 Jan 2026, it returns with the third reward, and payouts run on a 5-business-day cycle.
Broker, entity, countries
FundedNext "is not a broker and does not rely on any third-party brokerage", with feeds from unnamed "top-tier liquidity providers". US traders "can only use Match-Trader". The footer names GrowthNext F.Z.E., Ajman Free Zone, UAE, for onboarding and the website; FundedNext Ltd, Comoros, for the simulated environment; FundedNext Limited, Hong Kong, for payments; and two Cyprus companies for payment operations. Not served: North Korea, Myanmar, Belarus, Iran, Russia, Vietnam and sanctions-list countries; a help article lists 20 countries, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Sri Lanka among them.
What FundedNext does not publish
Leverage in readable text, a gold figure, drawdown and time limits for Lite and Instant, and which $200K price applies. Gaps in what we could read, not warnings.
Who it suits, from the rules alone
A trader running their own gold strategy, holding through news and over weekends, with three or fewer open at 1% each, fits the 2-Step. It does not suit a signal follower: the restricted-strategies page prohibits signal services, and that is the whole question this review was written to answer. The other nine firms are set against the same rules in our prop firm rules roundup.
Rules were read on 21 Oct 2026 and change often. Read the help article before you buy.
