Gold is the market many Telegram signal channels lead with, and the one where a channel's screenshots say least about what following it is like. A month of signals with the stops included says more. This is ours.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure here comes from a replay of the VIP channel for 24 August to 21 September 2026, and the replay file is published on this site. The replay read each signal as it was posted and walked it through the price candles that followed. Each signal is scored the way our results page scores it: the full position at the highest target price reached, a full loss if the stop came first, and the stop counted first if a single candle touched both. Gold is counted at $0.10 a pip, so +500 means gold moved $50 from the entry to the target. No spread or commission is taken off.
The month in numbers
- 21 gold signals, all in the London and New York sessions.
- 20 reached a target and 1 hit its stop. The stop cost 500 pips.
- Net +6,890 pips on the record: +7,390 across the twenty winners, less the 500 on the stop.
- 20 sells and 1 buy. The buy, posted on 14 September, reached a target scored at +500.
The winners were not twenty copies of the same trade:
| Result on the record | Signals |
|---|---|
| +500 | 10 |
| +250 to +600, other than +500 | 5 |
| +50 or +100 | 5 |
| -500, the stop | 1 |
The stop on 25 August
The loss came on Tuesday 25 August. A sell posted at 14:45 UK time went 500 pips, $50 of gold's price, against the entry before reaching its first target, and closed at the stop. Earlier the same day, a sell posted at 10:31 reached a target and was scored at +100.
At 0.10 lots, where one gold pip is worth $1, that stop cost $500. At 0.01 lots it cost $50. The same day showed both sides of trading gold from signals: a target in the morning and a full stop in the afternoon, which is why the size of each trade has to be set by the stop, before the signal arrives.
What the month shows about gold
The moves are large in pips. Ten of the 21 signals were scored at +500, a $50 move, and the one stop was the same size. A gold signal is not a forex signal with a different symbol. The pip value per lot is the same as EUR/USD, but the distances are several times wider, so the same lot size carries several times the risk. How much a pip is worth on gold sets out the conversion.
The timing clusters. The earliest signal of the month went out at 08:28 UK time and the latest at 16:34. Sixteen of the 21 were posted from midday onward, in the London afternoon and the first hours of New York, which matches the hours gold usually moves most. A trader who only checks Telegram in the UK evening would have seen every one of them late.
One direction dominated. Twenty of 21 signals were sells. That describes the market in those four weeks, not a rule about gold, and the next month can look nothing like it.
What the month cannot tell you
It cannot tell you what a member made. The record scores the full position at the highest target reached; a trader who closed everything at the first target, or moved the stop on the way, finished the same signals with different numbers. The take profit guide compares those rules on the same replayed month.
It also cannot tell you what next month holds. 21 signals is a small sample, and one stop in 21 is a description of four weeks, not a rate to plan around. Plan around the stop itself: size every gold signal as if it will be the one that fails.
Sizing a gold signal so a 500-pip stop is survivable
The formula is the same as for any signal: lots = (balance × risk per trade) ÷ (stop in pips × $10 per pip per lot).
- $5,000 account at 1%: $50 at risk. On a 500-pip stop, 50 ÷ (500 × 10) = 0.01 lots, and the stop costs $50.
- $2,000 account at 1%: $20 at risk. On the same stop, 20 ÷ (500 × 10) = 0.004 lots, below the 0.01 minimum. The smallest trade risks $50, or 2.5% of the account, so the choice is to take that trade at 2.5% knowingly or skip it.
The gold lot size calculator reads a pasted signal and does this arithmetic from its entry and stop.
What to look for in a gold signal channel on Telegram
- A stop in the first message, every time. A gold signal without one cannot be sized.
- The pip convention. Measure one signal on the chart: is 50 pips $5, $0.50 or $50 of price? The answer changes your lot size by a factor of ten.
- A record with the stops in it, signal by signal and dated, not a weekly total.
- Signals at hours you can act on, or a plan for the ones you cannot.
