Maven Trading review for signal traders: rules, news, copying

Maven Trading prints every $100k price on one page, names its data feed broker and bans EAs outright. Its news rule is the strictest of the ten on evaluation, a hard breach for a trade touched inside two minutes of a Red Folder release. This review reads the Standard 2-Step and the models around it from maventrading.com on 21 Oct 2026.

What Maven sells

Standard 1-Step, 2-Step and 3-Step, Instant, Buy Now Pay Later, Omo 2-Step, Mini, plus a prediction-market 1 Step and an Elite 1-Step, in sizes from $2k to $100k. The pricing page lists the $100k fees in full, coupon prices in brackets: Standard 1-Step $380 ($342 to $361); Standard 2-Step $440 ($396 to $418); Standard 3-Step $299; Instant $380; Omo 2-Step $472 ($284 with code OMO); Mini $440; BNPL $5 now and $589 later.

The FAQ states that on the 2-Step "The drawdown limit does not increase", static in the firm's words. The 1-Step's limit "moves up with your highest running equity", including unrealised profit, the tightest kind of trailing: a gold trade that runs well and returns to breakeven has already moved the floor.

The copying rule

Copying is allowed only "when copying your own trades" between your own accounts, manually. Then the sentence that matters: "You cannot copy trade from another individual, if found, both users will be breached." Trade copiers and signal services are not addressed by name. EAs are: "EAs and automated trading are prohibited across all Maven platforms." The terms contain a clause allowing automated systems with "prior approval"; the two passages differ, and the FAQ is the stricter one to assume.

A Telegram-to-MT5 copier is out twice, as automation and as copying another individual, and the firm states it would breach both parties. Placing a signal by hand on your own account is not addressed by the cited rules either way, and absence of a named ban is not permission; if you intend to trade signals here, get the firm's written answer to that exact workflow first. Our copier and prop firm rules piece sets out why our own copier terms exclude prop accounts.

News, on evaluation and on funded

On the Standard 1, 2 and 3-Step in evaluation, no trade on an affected instrument may be opened or closed "from 2 minutes before" a Red Folder release until 2 minutes after, and the firm treats it as a hard breach. On the funded Standard account the rule softens: "profits generated in the restricted window are excluded". The Omo 2-Step is "fully permitted" in evaluation and caps news-window profit at 0.50% of balance per event when funded. BNPL is "fully permitted during the evaluation and funded phase".

For a gold signal through US data on a Standard evaluation, a close inside those four minutes is not a small deduction, it ends the account. Whether a take-profit order that the market fills inside the window counts as a close is not spelled out on the FAQ; assume it does, and either close the position beforehand or move the targets out of reach until the window has passed. Weekend and overnight holding is allowed. Our sessions and news guide lists the releases.

Drawdown and daily loss, in stops

At 1% a trade, the Standard 2-Step gives four stops a day and eight in total from a fixed floor. The 1-Step gives three a day and five trailing on running equity, where even an open winner that gives back its gain has moved the floor against you. The three profitable days per phase, each at 0.5%, are a count of days rather than trades. Size from the daily limit, not the account.

Gold, platforms and leverage

"Maven Trading offers MT5 and Match Trader", with MetaTrader "not available for United States or Canada". The FAQ lists forex at 1:75, "Gold: 1:100 (2 Step OMO Only)" and other metals and commodities at 1:20, which leaves gold on the Standard models at 1:20 by the only line that covers it. Gold is tradable and the site mentions "24/7 gold trading". A maximum lot size is not stated.

Payouts, split and refund

"The standard reward split is 80%", with 90% as an add-on. The first payout comes "10 business days after your first trade" on the funded account, then every 10 business days. Instant pays on demand after 3% profit with a 20% consistency rule; Mini pays within 24 hours at 70%. The fee is "refunded after your third reward"; otherwise "All purchases are considered final, non-cancellable, and non-returnable".

Broker, entity, countries

"Our data feed broker is Match-Prime." Maven "does not act as a broker and do not accept any deposits". The footer names Maven Edu FZCO, Dubai Silicon Oasis, UAE, and Maventrade LTD, Rodney Bay, Saint Lucia; the terms name MAVEN LLC, UAE. Not served: Afghanistan, Belarus, Cuba, Haiti, Iran, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Saint Lucia, Somalia, Sudan, Ukraine, Venezuela, Yemen and a dozen others.

What Maven does not publish

Objectives for Instant, Mini and Omo beyond the lines above, a time limit on the 1-Step, a maximum lot size, a separate gold leverage line for the Standard models, and one EA position.

Who it suits, from the rules alone

A manual trader who wants a printed price, static drawdown on the 2-Step and a named data feed, and who can clear the calendar of every Red Folder release during evaluation. It suits less anyone whose gold signals run into US data with targets in reach, anyone who wanted any automation at all, and anyone in the US or Canada who needs MetaTrader. Where the other nine firms land on the same rules is in our prop firm rules roundup.

Rules were read on 21 Oct 2026 and change often. Read the FAQ before you buy.
