Short answer: none of the rankings we read measures how a channel's signals do over time from a record that is both complete and independent. TTMT's library ranks channels by trades its own users copied, which reflects real fills but rests on groups of users that ranged from 2 to 79 in the entries we read. Subscriber rankings such as tgstat's measure audience, not results. "Best of" pages are editorial, and four of the thirteen we read in October were labelled sponsored, press release or affiliate. A channel's own recaps show what it chooses to post. A provider's complete record, such as ours, covers every signal but is published by the provider itself.
The five methods side by side
| Method | What it counts | Sample behind a figure | What it can show | What it cannot show |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Copied-trade library (TTMT) | trades its users' copiers placed from a channel's messages | 2 to 79 users per channel in the entries we read | how those copies went at real fills and settings | signals no user copied, the time before users joined, anyone outside TTMT |
| Audience ranking (tgstat) | subscribers, growth, reach per post, citations | the whole channel | audience size and attention | whether any signal won or lost |
| "Best of" pages | an editor's choice | not stated | which names are being written about | results, and often who paid |
| A channel's own recaps | what the channel chooses to post | whatever it posts | the channel's own account, sometimes its losses | posts never made, edited or deleted |
| A provider's complete record | every closed signal at its posted levels | every signal since the record began | each outcome under a published rule | member account results, and an outside check |
Copied-trade libraries: TTMT
TTMT (Telegram to MetaTrader) sells a copier that places Telegram signals on MetaTrader accounts. So do we: the Forexero Copier is ours, and our comparison of the two copiers covers the products. TTMT's channel library listed 66 channels, 623 traders and 39.8K trades on 3 Nov 2026.
What it counts. Its method page says every figure comes from closed trades TTMT placed on its users' MetaTrader accounts. One signal copied to several accounts counts several times, demo accounts are included, and no money figures are published. Each channel page shows a win rate, a profit factor (gross profit over gross loss) and the share of traders in profit over the last 90 days. A score out of 5 averages the scorecard rows with enough data; the transparency row was not yet measured for any channel.
How it ranks. Gold is the only market with a ranking page. A channel needs 100 closed trades and 5 traders in the last 90 days; on 3 Nov, 13 channels qualified, across 17,766 trades, and 44 more gold channels were listed below the threshold.
The samples. Behind each percentage is a group of users' accounts, and the group sizes vary widely:
| TTMT entry, 3 Nov 2026 | Closed trades | TTMT users | Traders in profit, last 90 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTMO VIP | 4,508 | 50 | 6 of 14 |
| Jonny's FX Trader (gold ranking) | 1,195 | 25 | 2 of 8 |
| GiltStone Traders, free channel | 389 | 79 | 4 of 26 |
| Top Notch FX, premium room | 385 | 2 | not published |
| Gold Trader Sunny | 312 | 38 | 6 of 11 |
| SureShot GOLD | 160 | 13 | 1 of 3 |
| TFXC PREMIUM | 48 | 3 | not published |
What to watch. Win rate and profit factor cover a channel's whole history on TTMT; traders in profit covers 90 days. Pages refresh on different dates: on 3 Nov one of the twelve we read still carried 17 Oct data. The library covers only channels TTMT's users have connected, and each channel page says TTMT "does not vet signal providers". TTMT states it is not paid for listings or positions, and that its affiliate programme for providers does not change the figures. One channel we profiled, GiltStone Traders, posted a TTMT referral link in its free channel on 20 Oct.
Audience rankings: tgstat
tgstat's channel ratings sort by subscribers by default, and also by growth, "1 post reach" and "citation index". On 3 Nov the ratings page gave no explanation of how those figures are measured, and a search found no tgstat page explaining its citation index.
An audience figure measures attention and says nothing about whether any signal won or lost. Subscribers and views can be bought, as our guide to fake signal channels explains, and one channel's figure can differ by source on the same day: SureShot GOLD showed 38.7K on its Telegram preview and 27,961 on TTMT's page. View counters vary more: Top Notch FX's free channel showed 8 to 35 views a post on 19.7K subscribers, and Gold Trader Sunny 19.4K to 51.4K on 110K.
"Best of" pages
In October we read the thirteen pages Google returned for "best forex signals telegram 2026" and "best gold signals telegram". Four were filed under Sponsored or Press Release or carried an affiliate disclosure; the rest did not say how they were paid for. Forexero appeared on none. These pages show which names are being written about, not results, and we used them for names only.
A channel's own recaps
A recap's format decides what a reader can check. From this week's profiles:
- Gold Trader Sunny posts a monthly tally, "71 TP targets hit" and "3 SL" on 28 Oct, which counts targets reached rather than signals, so it is not a win rate.
- TFXC counts one cent of gold as a pip, so its "+1200 pips" was $12.00 of price, and its results channel lists a pip total for every day of the week, Saturday and Sunday included, with no signals listed.
- SureShot's history page listed its latest free signals at their posted "running" pips, and none of its 30 rows was negative; its gold channel's recap of 19 to 30 Oct listed a buy at "-100 pips".
- GiltStone's free channel posts "SL HIT" in the same format as its targets.
Recaps can show losses. They cannot show what was never posted, and a channel owner can edit or delete any message; forwarding each signal to your Saved Messages keeps the original, the test our forex channels comparison sets out.
A provider's complete record, ours included
The Forexero VIP and its record are ours. Our results page lists every closed VIP signal since 2023 with its entry, stop, three targets and outcome. On 3 Nov 2026 it held 3,123 closed signals since November 2023, 542 of them stopped out and 40 closed at breakeven; the worst month in the latest twelve, April 2026, had 23 stops in 76 signals. The scoring rules are published: an outcome is the highest target reached, or a full stop if the stop came first, and a breakeven appears only when the desk closes a trade at entry and records it.
The limits are as real as anyone else's:
- It is self-published. We record the outcomes and nobody outside audits them.
- It scores signals, not accounts. Results are pips at the posted levels, not fills, lot sizes or a member's money.
- TP1 ends the loss question. Once a signal reaches TP1 it is no longer scored as a loss, even if price later returns to the original stop, so a follower who held for TP3 could have had a worse result than the record shows.
- Some rows are excluded. Rows marked as duplicates, tests or data errors, and any row of 5,000 pips or more, are left out.
- The free channel is a selection. The complete set is the VIP's.
Our guide to reading a results page works through these questions for any provider.
Using them together
- Start from the complete record, if the channel publishes one, and read its scoring rules before its percentages.
- If a copied-trade library lists the channel, look at the number of users before the win rate.
- Treat subscriber and view counts as audience figures.
- Treat "best of" pages as a list of names to check.
- Forward every signal for two weeks and score them yourself.
