Forex profit calculator for every target of a signal

Before you place a signal, know what each outcome is worth: the stop, each take profit, or a close of your own. Paste the signal or enter the levels, add your lot size, and every level is converted into money in your account currency.

How profit is worked out

Profit = pips gained × pip value of one lot × lots. Pips gained is the distance from the entry to the exit, positive when the price moved your way: up for a buy, down for a sell. The pip value comes from the market and your account currency, the same numbers as the pip value calculator.

The values loaded here: a EUR/USD buy at 1.0850 on 0.20 lots. TP3 at 1.0925 is 75 pips, so 75 × 10 × 0.20 = $150. The stop at 1.0825 is 25 pips the wrong way, a $50 loss. TP1 at 1.0875 returns $50 and TP2 at 1.0900 returns $100.

Reading a signal’s targets as money

Three targets mean three possible outcomes, plus the stop. Seeing them as money before entering answers the question that matters: is the stop a loss you accept, against targets you would be glad to bank? How you take profit (all at TP1, a split, or holding for TP3) can change the result more than any other choice after the entry. The take profit guide compares those choices on a real month of signals.

If the stop shows a loss you would not accept, the fix is the lot size, not the stop. The lot size calculator works backwards from the loss you choose.

What the number leaves out

Spread, commission and swap. A buy’s target fills on the bid and a sell’s on the ask, while most charts draw the bid, so a target can be touched on a chart and still not fill. Commission on raw accounts is charged per lot, and swap is charged or paid for every night a position stays open. On a small target these are a visible share of the profit, so treat the figures here as the most a level can return, not the amount that arrives.

On Forexero signals

Every Forexero signal comes with one entry, a stop and three targets, so this calculator reads it in one paste. The backtester re-cuts our published record by exit level, losses included. It reads recorded outcomes, not prices, so it is a view of the record rather than a simulation of your account.

Questions

How much profit is 100 pips?

It depends on the lot size and the pair. On EUR/USD with a dollar account: $1,000 at 1.00 lot, $100 at 0.10 lots, $10 at 0.01 lots. On gold, with one pip counted as $0.10, the same figures apply.

How do I work out profit on a gold trade?

Take the price move in dollars and multiply it by 100 ounces a lot and by your lot size. A $5.00 move on 0.10 lots is 5 × 100 × 0.10 = $50.

Does this include spread and commission?

No. Subtract the spread and any commission yourself, and the swap if the trade is held overnight.

Can I use it for a sell?

Yes. Choose Sell and the calculator counts pips downward from the entry, so a target below the entry shows as profit and a stop above it as a loss.
